Unit 1 test

Hello guys,

Please remember that we have our first test for Unit 1. It's on Thursday 20th and on Friday 21st October (this is only one test but divided into two parts).

To practise grammar you can go to the back of your book where there is grammar revision (p. 133-134). You can also go to the extra activities I uploaded on the blog.

To practise vocabulary and expressions use the vocabulary list I gave you (or find it on the blog).

The test will include all the materials we used in Unit 1, including Reading, Listening, Speaking and Writing (and Grammar and Vocabulary).

SO and BECAUSE

Hi guys,

This week we are learning how to give reasons and examples. We can use connectors SO, BECAUSE, ONE REASON IN (THAT) to give reasons and FOR EXAMPLE and FOR INSTANCE to give examples.

IMPORTANT:

He studies a lot, SO he is the best student.

He is the best student BECAUSE he studies a lot.
